IN RE:
HB2655 by Rosenthal (Relating to an active shooter emergency protocol for public school districts and required active shooter training for school district peace officers and school resource officers.), Committee Report 1st House, Substituted
No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
It is assumed that the provisions of the bill relating to active shooter emergency protocols for public school districts could be absorbed using existing resources.
Local Government Impact
The bill would require school districts to include protocols for responding to active shooters in their multihazard emergency operations plans. School resource and peace officers would have to complete active shooter response training.
School districts could see increased training costs for school resource and peace officers.
