HB2683 by Geren (Relating to the transfer or sale of a law enforcement dog to a peace officer, an honorably retired peace officer, or a survivor of a deceased peace officer.), As Introduced

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Government Code to authorize transfer or purchase of law enforcement dogs, upon the retirement of the dog, to certain individuals.  The bill would authorize governmental entities to establish a purchase price for the dog.

Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
