No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would amend the Civil Practice and Remedies Code, Education Code, Estates Code, Government Code, Health and Safety Code, Occupations Code, and Property Code to remove references to the Texas Probate Code and the Texas Department of Aging and replace them with references to the Estates Code and Health and Human Services Commission.
Based on the analysis of the Office of Court Administration, duties and responsibilities associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be accomplished using existing resources.
The bill would take effect September 1, 2019.
