No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend Chapter 2258 of the Government Code to allow a political subdivision to use certain Texas Workforce Commission wage data for determining prevailing wage rates in public work contracts.

The Texas Workforce Commission indicates that there would be no significant fiscal implication.

Local Government Impact

According to the Texas Association of Counties and the Texas Municipal League, no significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
