The bill would amend the Government Code and the Insurance Code relating to compensation and leave for certain employees of the fraud unit of the Texas Department of Insurance (TDI). Based on information provided by TDI and the State Auditor's Office, this analysis assumes that the duties and responsibilities associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be accomplished by utilizing existing resources.
