No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Occupations Code relating to the examinations required for a barbering or cosmetology license. Based on information provided by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation and the Texas Education Agency, this analysis assumes the provisions of the bill can be implemented using existing resources.

The bill would take effect on September 1, 2019.
