HB2986 by Israel (Relating to purchasing of cloud computing services by a political subdivision.), As Introduced

No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Local Government Code to add "cloud computing" to an enumerated list of items defined as "personal property" for the purpose of procurement by certain categories of local government.

According to the Texas Association of Counties, the bill is not expected to have a significant fiscal impact on counties.

According to the Texas Municipal League, the bill is not expected to have a significant fiscal impact on cities.
