HB3022 by Miller (Relating to emergency warning systems operated by municipalities and counties.), As Engrossed

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Government Code and the Transportation Code to authorize the Department of Public Safety (DPS) to disclose certain contact information to political subdivisions for the purpose of a local emergency warning system and to regulate the operation of these systems.

It is assumed that the provisions of the bill relating to DPS could be absorbed using existing resources.

Local Government Impact

According to the Texas Association of Counties and the Texas Municipal League, no significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
