No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

Under the provisions of the bill, a person or the dependent of a person employed by a national laboratory or operator of a national laboratory with whom the Texas A&M University System board of regents has entered into a management agreement with, is entitled to pay the in-state rate for tuition and fees when enrolled in an institution of the Texas A&M University System. According to the Texas A&M University System, any additional costs associated with this bill can be absorbed utilizing existing resources.
