HB3145 by Toth (Relating to the right of a parent appointed as a conservator of a child to attend school activities.), As Engrossed

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Family Code to include school lunches, performances, and field trips to the list of activities a parent appointed as conservator of a child has the right to attend at all times.
 
Based on the analysis of the Office of Court Administration, duties and responsibilities associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be accomplished using existing resources.
 
The bill would take effect immediately if it receives a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, or September 1, 2019.

Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
