No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would amend Transportation Code §623.321 to authorize the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) to issue a permit for the operation of a vehicle or combination of vehicles used to transport equipment used to load timber on a vehicle in certain timber producing counties.
Based on the information and analysis provided by DMV, it is assumed the bill would not result in a significant change in the number of Annual Timber Permits issued pursuant to Transportation Code §623.321, and any costs associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be absorbed within the agency's existing resources.
