April 16, 2019

TO:
Honorable Dan Huberty, Chair, House Committee on Public Education

FROM:

Legislative Budget Board

IN RE:
HB3220 by Allison (Relating to repayment of certain mental health professional education loans.), As Introduced

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Education Code relating to student loan repayment assistance for certain mental health professionals. The bill would allow certain licensed specialists in school psychology to be eligible to participate in the program. This analysis assumes that any costs associated with expanding the program to licensed specialists in school psychology would not have a significant impact to the State.

Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
