No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would direct the Texas Water Development Board (TWDB) to analyze and assess current and projected groundwater production and the effects of that production in certain counties. The bill would direct TWDB to issue a report based on its findings by September 1, 2020. Based on information provided by TWDB, duties and responsibilities associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be accomplished using existing resources.
