No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would amend the Code of Criminal Procedure to require a judge to take into consideration whether a person is the sole caretaker of a child when considering whether to revoke the community supervision of a person whose violation of community supervision did not involve an arrest for an offense punishable as a Class B misdemeanor or any higher category of offense.
The Office of Court Administration and the Texas Department of Criminal Justice indicate the modifications outlined in the bill's provisions would not result in a significant fiscal impact. This analysis assumes the provisions of the bill addressing felony sanctions for criminal offenses would not result in a significant impact on state correctional agencies.

According to the Texas Association of Counties, no significant fiscal implication to county governments is anticipated.
