IN RE:
HB3329 by Frank (Relating to the services provided by assisted living facilities.), As Introduced

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the definition of an assisted living facility to allow a facility to provide health maintenance activities as defined by rule by the Texas Board of Nursing. The bill would also require the Health and Human Services Commission to adopt rules and provide guidelines on the scope of services that an assisted living facility would be authorized to provide. Based on LBB analysis of these agencies, duties and responsibilities associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be accomplished by utilizing existing resources.

Local Government Impact

No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
