IN RE:
HB3361 by Canales (Relating to court reporter service fees in certain counties.), As Engrossed

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Government Code to add additional counties to a currently authorized elevated court reporter service fee. The bill modifies the population threshold for counties allowed to charge the higher fee.

According to the Office of Court Administration (OCA), no significant fiscal impact to the state court system is anticipated.

Local Government Impact

According to the OCA, no significant fiscal impact to the state court system is anticipated.

According to OCA, Hidalgo County would see an increase in the fees collected under this bill. Since the agency does not have information on the current collections under the statute, it is unable to estimate the impact.
