No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Natural Resources Code related to causes of action for withholding payments of the proceeds from the sale of oil and gas production. The bill would take effect immediately with a two-thirds vote, or on September 1, 2019.

Based on analysis of the Railroad Commission, duties and responsibilities associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be accomplished by utilizing existing resources.

No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
