No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

Based on Legislative Budget Board's analysis of the Health and Human Services Commission and the Texas Education Agency, it is assumed that the provisions of the bill relating to suicide prevention in public school curriculum and certain educational programs concerning suicide prevention and substance abuse prevention could be absorbed using existing resources.

Local Government Impact

There may be a cost to school districts in developing certain procedures required by the bill.
