No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would amend the Local Government Code to prohibit a municipality from requiring an owner of a single-family residential structure who is seeking a permit to improve part of that structure to comply with a municipal requirement that is applicable to another part of the structure that is not being improved and not necessary for the permitted improvement.
