No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
It is assumed that the provisions of the bill relating to firearms training for county jailers could be absorbed using existing resources.
Local Government Impact
According to the Texas Association of Counties, Ector County already provides firearm training to jailers and pays the jailers overtime to conduct the training. Therefore, Ector County does not anticipate a fiscal impact to their county.
