No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Property Code to require notice from a landlord to a prospective tenant regarding a dwelling that is located in a floodplain or that has been damaged by flooding.  The bill would allow a tenant not provided this notice to terminate the lease and recover certain damages.

Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
