IN RE:
HB3568 by Farrar (Relating to the salary paid to an official court reporter in certain counties.), As Introduced
No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would amend the Government Code to require that a salary increase for an official district court reporter be no more the average percentage salary increase paid to all other employees of the county where the reporter serves if the county has a population of 3.5 million or more.
Based on the analysis of the Office of Court Administration, duties and responsibilities associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be accomplished using existing resources.
The bill would take effect September 1, 2019.
Local Government Impact
No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
