No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would amend the Government Code to expand jurisdiction of all statutory county courts in Tarrant County to include all civil and criminal causes and proceedings prescribed by law for county courts.
Based on the analysis of the Office of Court Administration, duties and responsibilities associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be accomplished using existing resources.
The bill would take effect September 1, 2019.
