HB3690 by Middleton (Relating to authorizing counties to adopt a code of ethics for their commissioners courts.), As Introduced

No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Local Government Code to authorize commissioners courts to establish a code of ethics and would that each member of the commissioners court to file a conflicts disclosure statement if a code is adopted.

According to the Texas Ethics Commission, the bill would have no fiscal impact to the agency.

Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
