HB3704 by Thompson, Senfronia (Relating to certain public health data maintained by the Department of State Health Services and shared with certain local health entities.), As Engrossed

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Health and Safety Code to allow the Department of State Health Services (DSHS) to enter in a memorandum of understanding and a data use agreement with local health units, local health departments, or public health districts to share public health data maintained by DSHS.
 
The bill would take effect September 1, 2019.
 
According to the agency, the provisions of the bill can be implemented using existing resources.
