HB3732 by Thompson, Senfronia (Relating to the creation of an urban land bank by certain municipalities; granting authority to issue bonds.), As Introduced

No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Local Government Code to re-authorize certain municipalities to adopt a land bank program, specifies certain operational procedures for these programs, and includes the programs that would be authorized by the bill in an enumerated list of charitable functions.  The bill would repeal the existing statute authorizing these programs.

Local Government Impact

According to the Texas Municipal League, no significant fiscal impact to cities is anticipated.
