No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend Chapters 11 and 61 of the Alcoholic Beverage Code, regarding authorized local fees, to allow cities, towns, and counties to enter into contracts with private attorneys or vendors for the collection of unpaid local alcoholic beverage permit and license fees that are more than 60 days past due. Private attorneys and vendors would be allowed to assess a collection charge to the permittees or licensees for late or no payment.

The bill would also allow cities, towns, and counties to enter into an inter-local agreement with another city, town, or county to collect the local alcoholic beverage permit and license fees on their behalf.

Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
