No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would amend the Alcoholic Beverage Code as it relates to the collection of unpaid local alcoholic beverage permit and license fees. The bill would allow private attorneys and vendors to assess a collection charge to the permittees or licensees for late or no payment. The Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission anticipates that the bill would not result in a significant fiscal impact to the State. The bill would take effect September 1, 2019.
Local Government Impact
The Texas Association of Counties anticipates a positive fiscal impact to certain counties, but the impact cannot be estimated.
