The bill would amend the Government Code to authorize certain small municipalities, rural counties, and other governmental entities to fulfil certain newspaper publication requirements by posting notice in newspapers circulated in the jurisdiction of the entity.
Local Government Impact
According to the Texas Association of Counties, the bill could have a slight positive impact in some counties with populations less than 200,000 but it would not be a significant impact.
