IN RE:
HB3760 by Guillen (Relating to the issuance of buyer's temporary tags for vehicles sold by governmental agencies.), As Engrossed
No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
Based on analysis by the Texas Facilities Commission, it is assumed that the provisions of the bill relating to temporary tags for surplus vehicles could be absorbed using existing resources. Information provided by the Department of Motors indicates one-time technology costs, but this analysis assumes that these can be absorbed within existing agency resources.
Local Government Impact
The bill would authorize political subdivisions to provide buyer's temporary tags with the sale of any surplus vehicle. The fiscal implications of the bill on local government cannot be determined at this time.
