No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would amend the Family Code to allow a conservator of a child to file for a temporary order of possession or access to a child or child support if the conservator anticipates being ordered to military deployment, military mobilization, or temporary military duty one year following the date the conservator files for the order.
Based on the analysis of the Office of Court Administration, duties and responsibilities associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be accomplished using existing resources.
The bill would take effect September 1, 2019.
