No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would amend the Estates Code to include claims for electrical service provided to persons who have been designated as critical care residential customers to the list of priority claims against a customer's estate after death.
Based on the analysis of the Office of Court Administration, duties and responsibilities associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be accomplished using existing resources.
The bill would take effect September 1, 2019.
