HB3811 by Martinez Fischer (Relating to the enforcement by certain local governmental entities and campus police departments of state and federal laws governing immigration.), As Introduced

No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Government Code to remove a prohibition on local entities or police departments endorsing a policy that would prohibit or materially limit the enforcement of immigration laws.

According to the Texas A&M System, the University of Texas System, the Texas State University System, the Texas Tech University System, the University of North Texas System, the University of Houston System, and Tyler Junior College, no fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

Local Government Impact

According to the Texas Association of Counties, the bill would not have a fiscal impact on counties.

According to the Texas Municipal League, the bill would not have a significant fiscal impact on cities.
