No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Code of Criminal Procedure and the Government Code to authorize counties to establish a personal bond and pretrial supervision office and would specify various services this office may perform.  The bill would authorize certain employees of these offices to access criminal history records maintained by the Department of Public Service (DPS) at no fee.

According to the Office of Court Administration (OCA), no significant fiscal impact to the state court system is anticipated.

According to DPS, no fiscal impact to the State is anticipated.

Local Government Impact

According to OCA, no significant fiscal impact to local courts is anticipated.

According to the Texas Association of Counties, no fiscal impact to counties is anticipated.
