The bill would amend the Local Government Code to authorize a commissioners court to require the developer of a development project to pay the county for a traffic study.

According to the Texas Association of Counties, the bill would have a positive fiscal impact on those counties that choose to have developers reimburse the county for the costs of the specified traffic studies.
