No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Code of Criminal Procedure to include Special Agents of the Office of Inspector General of the United States Department of Agriculture to the list of federal criminal investigators granted the state law enforcement authority powers of arrest, search, and seizure for felony offenses.

The bill would take effect immediately if it receives a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, or September 1, 2019.
