No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would amend the Education code to require the Department of State Health Services to develop procedures, as soon as practicable, for school districts to provide information relating to bacterial meningitis to its students and their parents each school year.
The bill would take effect immediately upon receiving a two-thirds majority vote in each house. Otherwise, the bill would take effect September 1, 2019.
It is assumed that any activities relating to the provisions of the bill can be implemented within existing resources.
