No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Local Government Code to define "commercial activity," "uniquely local concern," "regulation of local land use," and "citizens' physical safety." The bill specifies that municipalities may not regulate commercial activities as defined in the bill except as enumerated in the bill.

Local Government Impact

According to the Texas Municipal League, no significant fiscal impact to cities is anticipated.

According to the Texas Association of Counties, no significant fiscal impact to counties is anticipated.
