No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Local Government Code to define "uniquely local concern," "regulation of local land use," and "citizens' physical safety." The bill would restrict local regulation of activities outside these definitions not otherwise expressly authorized by statute. The bill would also define "commercial activity" and specify that any such activity subject to regulation by Texas or the United States cannot present a uniquely local concern.

Local Government Impact

According to the Texas Municipal League, no significant fiscal impact to cities is anticipated.

According to the Texas Association of Counties, no significant fiscal impact to counties is anticipated.
