HB3905 by Goodwin (Relating to the authority of certain counties to adopt and enforce park use rules.), As Introduced

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Local Government Code to allow a board of park commissioners in certain counties to create reasonable rules concerning the use of parks administered by the board.

The offense created by the bill would be a Class C misdemeanor.

Local Government Impact

A Class C misdemeanor is punishable by a fine of not more than $500.  In addition to the fine, punishment can include up to 180 days of deferred disposition. Costs associated with enforcement and prosecution could likely me absorbed within existing resources.  Revenue gain from fines imposed and collected is not anticipated to have a significant fiscal impact.
