IN RE:
HB3910 by Sherman, Sr. (Relating to the establishment of one or more supplemental county civil service commissions in certain counties.), As Introduced
No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would amend the Local Government Code to allow certain counties to create supplemental commissions that would assist an existing county civil service commission in administering their civil service system. Final decisions made by these supplemental commissions would be appealable to district courts.
According to the Office of Court Administration (OCA), although the bill would make a final decision rendered by the supplemental commission appealable to a district court, any increased caseload would likely be absorbed by existing resources. No significant fiscal impact to the state court system is anticipated.
