LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD
Austin, Texas

FISCAL NOTE, 86TH LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION

April 29, 2019

TO:
Honorable Kelly Hancock, Chair, Senate Committee on Business & Commerce

FROM:
John McGeady, Assistant Director     Sarah Keyton, Assistant Director
Legislative Budget Board

IN RE:
HB3912 by Phelan (Relating to state agency reports submitted to the legislature.), As Engrossed

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Government Code to allow a state agency to stop submitting certain reports after the 10th anniversary of the date the report was first submitted to the Legislature. Agencies may achieve reduced costs as a result of the provisions of the bill, however, this analysis assumes those savings would not be significant.

Local Government Impact

No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
