No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Code of Criminal Procedure to allow a person with a disability to have a toy, blanket, or similar comforting item while testifying in a hearing for certain criminal offenses and allow a support person to be present during that person's testimony.
 
The bill would take effect September 1, 2019.
