No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill amends the Transportation Code to extend an existing requirement that eminent domain actions taken by an electric railway crossing certain properties secure consent from relevant municipalities to include counties.

Local Government Impact

According to the Texas Association of Counties, the bill will not have a significant fiscal impact on counties.
