No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would amend the Health and Safety Code to add emergency service districts to a list of entities with the authority to provide fire-fighting, law enforcement, ambulance, medical, or other emergency services. The bill would also clarify that an existing authorization to transmit emergency response requests requires certain approvals from participating jurisdictions.
