IN RE:
HB4383 by Bohac (Relating to a reporting requirement for public schools regarding instructional materials and technology.), As Introduced
No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
It is assumed that the provisions of the bill relating to reporting requirements for public schools regarding instructional materials and technology could be absorbed using existing resources.
Local Government Impact
The bill would require that each school district and charter school prepare a list of instructional materials provided to students that cover each TEKS element. This list would be part of an existing annual certification that each school district and charter school is required provide the State Board of Education and Commissioner of Education related to instructional materials. School districts and charter schools could see increased costs associated with complying with the expanded reporting requirements under the bill.
