No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend various provisions of the Health and Safety Code and the Local Government Code.  The bill contains additional statutory provisions.

The bill would authorize certain emergency service districts to hold meetings less frequently than otherwise required.

The bill would authorize local government entities to use devices that utilize electronic capture to produce an electronic record interchangeably with devices that utilize electronic capture to produce a physical record for purchasing purposes.

The bill would clarify that a county judge is not a presiding officer of a commissioners court for when the judge attends a meeting by videoconference.

The bill would confirm certain actions taken by emergency service districts prior to the repeal of certain sections of the Health and Safety Code.

The bill would repeal provisions relating to notice given to a property owner relating to graffiti removal.

Local Government Impact

According to the Texas Association of Counties, no significant impact to counties is anticipated.
