IN RE:
SB300 by Miles (Relating to indefinite quantity contracts for the provision of certain services to declared disaster areas following a natural disaster.), As Introduced

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Natural Resources Code to require the General Land Office (GLO), not later than May 1 of each year, to enter into indefinite quantity contracts to provide services to construct, repair, or rebuild infrastructure in the event of a natural disaster. Such a contract would be contingent on certain conditions, including the availability of funds and the occurrence of a natural disaster within 12 months of the effective date of the contract. Based on information provided by GLO, duties and responsibilities associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be accomplished using existing resources.
