No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend sections of the Educational Code as it relates to financial aid awards under the Texas Educational Opportunity Grant (TEOG) program. Based on information provided by the Higher Education Coordinating Board, the number of students eligible for the TEOG program would increase by approximately 350 students in fiscal year 2020 and 425 students in fiscal year 2021. This increase is not considered significant.
