No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would amend the Local Government Code to expand an existing authorization for the officers of certain counties to disburse funds for salaries and expenses to have statewide effect. The bill also specifies certain procedures for these disbursements.
Local Government Impact
According to the Texas Association of Counties, the bill would have a small, positive fiscal impact to some counties with populations under 190,000 however this fiscal impact is not expected to be significant.
